Most images included in ArtFall puzzle packs are in the public domain worldwide. These works are free of known copyright restrictions because:

  • The artists died more than 70 years ago (life + 70 years rule in most jurisdictions)
  • The works were published more than 95 years ago (US rule for published works)
  • They are official government works (e.g., White House photographs)

Public Domain means you are free to:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, and use the works
  • Use them for any purpose, including commercial
  • No attribution is legally required (though we credit artists out of respect)

Some images are licensed under Creative Commons licenses which require attribution. These are listed in the Mandatory Attributions section above.
